
Weqaa CEO Inspects Plant, Animal Health Teams in Madinah as Part of 1446 AH Hajj Preparations
CEO of the National Center for the Prevention and Control of Plant Pests and Animal Diseases (Weqaa) Eng. Ayman bin Saad Al-Ghamdi inspected the operations of the center’s branch in the Madinah Region and its efforts in preventing and controlling plant pests and animal diseases. The visit comes as part of the center’s preparations and readiness to serve pilgrims, visitors to the Prophet’s Mosque, and citizens and residents during the 1446 AH Hajj season.
Eng. Al-Ghamdi checked on the readiness and equipment of the center’s field teams at several rural farms to observe efforts in combating plant pests. He also inspected the epidemiological and veterinary monitoring activities at the livestock market in the region to ensure the veterinary teams’ preparedness in examining livestock and verifying their freedom from diseases, supporting public health safety.
