GCC Horticulture Pavilion Wins Hospitality Award at Expo 2023 Doha

The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Horticulture Pavilion at Expo 2023 Doha has won the Hospitality Award in the self-built pavilion category, which honors participants who have distinguished themselves with exceptional services and staff, such as guided tours that enhance the visitor experience.

 This came during an award ceremony for the winning pavilions in recognition of their outstanding contributions and efforts during the six months of the exhibition. Participating in the ceremony were Minister of Municipality and Chairman of the National Committee for Expo 2023 Doha Horticulture Abdullah bin Hamad bin Abdullah Al Attiya, Bureau International des Expositions President Alain Berger, International Association of Horticultural Producers (AIPH) President Leonardo Capitanio, and several officials, heads of diplomatic missions accredited to Qatar, and pavilion commissioners.

 The award was received by Khalid bin Ibrahim Al-Sheikh, the GCC's Expo 2023 Doha commissioner-general for horticulture.

 The winner was selected by a panel of ten specialized judges from Qatar, the International Bureau of Exhibitions, and the International Association of Horticultural Producers (AIPH).
