
116th Session of Arab Economic and Social Council Begins at Ministerial Level
The 116th Regular Session of the Arab Economic and Social Council convened at the ministerial level at the headquarters of the Arab League in Cairo.
The session was chaired by Tunisian Minister of Trade and Export Development Samir Abid and attended by Secretary-General of the Arab League Ahmed Aboul Gheit, along with a number of ministers and heads of Arab delegations.
The Kingdom’s delegation was led by Assistant Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Finance for International Relations Naif bin Mohammed Alenzi.
The council will review topics submitted by senior officials, including the report of the Arab League secretary-general on the follow-up to the implementation of decisions adopted during the council’s 115th session. It will also discuss items on the Arab League's economic and social file to be presented at the upcoming 35th Arab Summit, scheduled to be hosted by Saudi Arabia.
