NCP Enhances Local and International Engagement to Promote PPP Opportunities
The National Center for Privatization & PPP (NCP) is intensifying its engagement with local and international investors as part of its efforts to expand the portfolio of public-private partnership (PPP) projects in the Kingdom, in cooperation with the private sector.
Since the beginning of 2025, the center has organized numerous meetings, roundtables, and primary market surveys, in addition to participating in events with developers, consultants, experts, and various PPP units. These initiatives highlight the center’s commitment to building strong ties with both local and international investors.
A delegation from the center recently visited Australia, where it held discussions with PPP units, developers experienced in large-scale projects, infrastructure consultants, and financiers. The meetings focused on best practices in partnership contracts and project implementation. The delegation also toured major PPP projects to examine mechanisms for managing and delivering large infrastructure and public facility projects. These included the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Center, the new Footscray Hospital, the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre, Sydney Metro, and Allianz Stadium.
Among the center’s key initiatives is the Prince Faisal bin Fahd Sports City Stadium project, the first sports stadium in the Kingdom to be developed under the PPP model. With a capacity of approximately 47,000 spectators, it will be ready to host local and international tournaments, including the 2034 World Cup.
The NCP team is also preparing to hold a series of meetings with CEOs of leading PPP development companies from Spain, France, Italy, and Belgium. These efforts aim to further expand the Kingdom’s privatization and partnership portfolio, particularly in major infrastructure, while attracting global expertise to support and accelerate project implementation.
