ARABOSAI’s 68th Governing Board Meeting Concludes in Riyadh
The 68th meeting of the Governing Board of the Arab Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ARABOSAI) concluded today in Riyadh. Hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the General Court of Audit (GCA), the two-day meeting brought together heads of supreme audit institutions and board members from across the Arab world.
The meeting covered a range of critical topics, including the organization’s activities and financial performance. The Board approved the final accounts for 2023 and the estimated budget for 2025. Additionally, reports from key committees, such as the Institutional Capacity Development Committee, the Professional and Audit Standards Committee, the Sustainable Development Goals Audit Committee, and the Strategic Plan Follow-up Committee, were thoroughly discussed.
President of ARABOSAI and General Court of Audit Dr. Hussam Alangari emphasized the importance of the meeting’s outcomes in promoting collaboration, joint action, and coordination among member institutions. He highlighted the value of exchanging information, expertise, and professional experiences to enhance the organization’s work and strengthen the capabilities of its member institutions.
ARABOSAI’s Governing Board meets annually to address strategic issues and make decisions that advance the organization’s mission. Its member countries include Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE, Algeria, Morocco, Iraq, Oman, Mauritania, Libya, Kuwait, and Lebanon.
