KSrelief Responds to Damage Caused by Heavy Rains and Floods in Yemen’s Al-Khokha District

King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has provided an emergency response to the damage caused by recent heavy rainfall in Al-Khokha District, Al-Hodeidah Governorate in Yemen, by draining accumulated rainwater and filling swamps in the streets and neighborhoods of Al-Khokha.

The emergency response falls under the Water Supply and Environmental Sanitation Project in Yemen, which is funded by KSrelief.

Al-Hodeidah Governor Dr. Al-Hassan Taher praised KSrelief’s response to the heavy rains and floods in Al-Khokha District, affirming that its timely intervention effectively contributed to reducing health and environmental risks and protecting residents and displaced persons.

He noted that the emergency response efforts will help curb the spread of diseases and epidemics transmitted by insects and mosquitoes as a result of stagnant water.

This initiative is part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's efforts, represented by KSrelief, to provide safe drinking water and integrated health and environmental services across all Yemeni governorates, ensuring a healthy and safe environment for the local community.
