ICD Signs €20 Million Financing Agreement with Cameroon
The Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector (ICD), a member of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group, signed a financing agreement with AFG Bank Cameroon to provide Sharia-compliant financing facilities valued at €20 million to support the growth of small and medium enterprises in Cameroon, Gabon, and Chad, focusing on the agriculture, transport, energy, and healthcare sectors.
The initiative is expected to create more than 2,200 job opportunities, including promising opportunities for women, marking ICD's first strategic collaboration with AFG Bank Cameroon. It also reaffirms ICD's commitment to supporting sustainable development through Islamic finance instruments in line with the IsDB Group's vision of promoting development across its 57 member countries.
