Masam Project Removes 543 Explosives in Yemen

King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), through its Masam project for clearing explosives in Yemen, removed 543 explosive devices during the first week of April across various regions of the country. These included 511 unexploded ordnance, 23 anti-tank mines, six anti-personnel mines, and three improvised explosive devices (IEDs).
The Masam team in Aden successfully dismantled 511 unexploded munitions and three IEDs, while the team in Marib removed 6 anti-personnel mines and 23 anti-tank mines.
Since the launch of the project, a total of 486,651 explosives have been cleared. These were planted indiscriminately across Yemeni territories, posing a grave threat to civilians—especially children, women, and the elderly—and spreading fear among communities.
