NCA Implements Key Tracks during 1447 AH Hajj Season to Enhance Cyber Readiness, Secure Pilgrim Services

The National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) revealed that more than 300 national entities have benefited from the Cybersecurity Fostering Program for Hajj Season 1447 AH, developed to boost the cyber readiness of technological systems and services provided during this year’s Hajj season, build specialized national capabilities in the field, and raise awareness among pilgrims and personnel of national institutions.
This program contributes to strengthening digital security during Hajj and supporting national efforts to mobilize all resources to provide the best services for pilgrims. It includes four key tracks: cyber threat detection and response, cyber risks and assessments, cyber drills, and cybersecurity awareness.
Under the cyber drills track, NCA implemented the Cybersecurity Drill for Hajj Season 1447 AH with the participation of more than 300 national entities represented by over 1,000 officials and specialists. The exercise included simulations of various real-world cyberattacks, the application of response mechanisms, and familiarization with the latest attack techniques.
NCA is the entity responsible for cybersecurity in the Kingdom and the national reference for cyber affairs. It aims to enhance cybersecurity to protect the state’s vital interests, infrastructure, and national security, in addition to safeguarding critical infrastructure, priority sectors, and government services and activities. It also seeks to establish and update incident response frameworks, monitor compliance with them, and build specialized national capabilities in the field to achieve a secure and trusted Saudi cyberspace that enables growth and prosperity.
