The Hajj and Umrah Charity Association (Hadiyah), Madinah branch, provided more than two million bottles of cold water to the pilgrims as part of the water supply initiative. This initiative is supervised by the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque, in cooperation with several charitable associations in Madinah.  The director of the association's branch in Madinah, Eng. Anas Al-Harbi, said that the water supply initiative began with the reception of the first delegations of pilgrims after completing the Hajj ritual and arriving to visit the Prophet's Mosque. The initiative is supported by the General Authority for the Care of the Prophet's Mosque Affairs, in cooperation with several associations specialized in Hajj, Umrah, and visitation, including the Suqia Charity Association, Diyafah Association, and Wafada Association. These organizations work together to provide cold water bottles to the pilgrims.
