Islamic Coalition Concludes Imam Training Program in Comoros

The Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) concluded the "Building Capacity for Imams and Preachers" training program today in Moroni, the Union of the Comoros, where it was held from June 23 to 27 as part of the Strategic Initiative for the Intellectual Field, in the presence of Comoran Minister of Justice and Islamic Affairs Anfani Hamada Bacar and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Mbae Mohamed.

 The program drew broad participation from imams and preachers who underwent intensive training on various academic topics, including deconstructing extremist rhetoric, social influence techniques, public speaking skills, and consolidating moderation.

 Minister Bacar thanked the IMCTC for its significant efforts to counter extremist ideas and promote moderation through the implementation of numerous strategic initiatives and programs aimed at combating extremism and terrorism.

 Participants praised the program’s high level of organization and in-depth scientific content, emphasizing the importance of expanding such quality initiatives that strengthen the role of educational and religious institutions in protecting communities from the risks of extremist ideology.
