KFSHRC Launches Second Dean's List Program for High-Achieving Medical Students
King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre (KFSHRC) in Riyadh has launched the second edition of its Dean's List academic program, designed to attract top-performing medical students from universities across Saudi Arabia and provide them with hands-on training experience.
According to a KFSHRC press release issued today, this initiative demonstrates the hospital's commitment to excellence in specialized medical education, high-quality patient care, and cutting-edge research.
Over 70 students from 10 universities across the Kingdom are taking part in the program. All participants rank in the top 5% of their medical school classes based on academic performance.
The three-week program includes orientation sessions, intensive workshops on choosing medical specialties and building professional CVs, consultation meetings with senior specialists, and clinical training in various departments under direct supervision from the hospital's consultants.
It is part of the hospital's efforts to develop talent and create meaningful connections between academic learning and clinical practice. By equipping students with essential skills and knowledge, the hospital strengthens its position as a leading center for medical education while identifying promising Saudi talent for future recruitment.
KFSHRC, said the release, has been ranked first in the Middle East and North Africa and 15th globally in the list of the world’s top 250 Academic Medical Centers for the second consecutive year and has been recognized as the most valuable healthcare brand in the Kingdom and the Middle East, according to the 2024 Brand Finance rankings. It was also included in the world's best 250 hospitals and in the World’s Best Smart Hospitals list for 2025 by Newsweek magazine.
