Minister of Foreign Affairs Heads Saudi Arabia's Delegation at Ukraine Peace Summit

Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah headed on Saturday the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's delegation at Ukraine Peace Summit in the Swiss city of Lucerne.

 During his speech at the summit, the foreign minister stressed that the Saudi Arabia's participation steams out of its commitment to support all efforts aimed at ending this conflict and achieving just peace and sustainable security.

 The minister of foreign affairs said since the outbreak of the conflict, the Kingdom has asserted the centrality of international law, the importance of resolving differences peacefully through dialogue, and the need of reducing tensions and mitigating the global effects of war."

 The foreign minister added that His Royal Highness Crown Prince and Prime Minister expresses the Kingdom's readiness to mediate between the two parties to the conflict and help reach a solution to end the ongoing conflict."

 Prince Faisal bin Farhan pointed out that the Kingdom's efforts contributed positively to the exchange of hundreds of prisoners, including many foreign nationals.

 The minister of foreign affairs stressed the Kingdom's support for the international community in any step it takes to hold serious negotiations.

 He added that it is necessary to emphasize that any serious process will require Russian participation in it, and we hope that the results of this summit will lead to achieving these goals.

 The Saudi delegation included the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs Dr. Saud bin Mohammed Al-Sati, the Saudi Ambassador to the Swiss Confederation, Dr. Adel Merdad, and the Director-General of the Minister of Foreign Affairs office, Abdulrahman Al-Daoud.
