Saudi International Handicrafts Week to Open Tomorrow in Riyadh, 500 Artisans, 25 Countries Participate
The Heritage Commission will tomorrow launch the second edition of the Saudi International Handicrafts Week Exhibition (Banan) at the Roshn Front, where a variety of events will highlight traditional crafts.
The exhibition, which aims to support and empower artisans, showcase their creativity, and enhance their skills, features a wide array of pavilions and events to enrich the visitors’ experience. These include the Handicrafts Arts Village, a Live Craft Performances Pavilion, a Crafts Exhibition, a Craft Workshops Pavilion, an Interactive Experiences Zone, a platform for entrepreneurs and craft organizations, and a Kids Pavilion offering activities for children.
More than 500 artisans from Saudi Arabia and representatives from 25 countries will participate in Banan, making the event a unique platform celebrating traditional handicrafts, supporting artisans economically, and enabling them to market their products. The Heritage Commission seeks to raise awareness about the importance of handicrafts within intangible cultural heritage, ensuring their preservation and passing them on to future generations.
The Heritage Commission emphasized that Banan demonstrates its commitment to developing the craft sector in line with the objectives of the National Culture Strategy derived from the Saudi Vision 2030.
The Saudi International Handicrafts Week will be open to the public throughout the week from 4 PM to 11 PM, except on Monday and Wednesday when it opens from 10 AM to 11 PM.
