KSrelief Celebrates International Literacy Day at Zaatari Refugee Camp in Jordan
The Saudi Center for Community Service of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) celebrated International Literacy Day, observed annually on September 8, at the Zaatari Refugee Camp in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
On this occasion, the center organized various interactive activities highlighting the importance of education and knowledge. The center also offered a course to teach students reading and writing skills and improve their academic performance, along with a visual presentation showcasing examples of the literacy course activities.
Moreover, a silent play titled The Conflict Between Knowledge and Ignorance was presented. Additionally, children wrote phrases about education and learning, which were placed on a mural as a mark of their participation and encouragement.
This initiative is part of the relief projects and programs provided by the Kingdom through its humanitarian arm, KSrelief, aimed at combating illiteracy, promoting education, and enhancing culture and knowledge among the camp residents.
