Najran Strengthens Position as Emerging Hub for Premium Coffee Production

The coffee sector in Najran Region is at the forefront of the modern agricultural and economic landscape, aligning with the national strategy to enhance food security and support locally produced high-value goods.
Coffee trees are currently in a critical growth stage—flowering and fruit set. This phase, which runs from early March to the end of April, is essential to the production cycle, as fruit development coincides with late flowering. It offers farmers strong indicators of a productive harvest expected to supply the local market with high-quality produce.
Farmer and agricultural expert Sadda Al-Haidar noted that the main harvest season begins in early October and continues through the end of December, marking the peak of economic returns after careful cultivation, including natural stimulation of flowering.
Agricultural expert Dalama Al-Haidar also emphasized that developing Najran coffee as a leading agricultural product requires an integrated technological environment that ensures proper ventilation and protection from extreme heat.
Today, Najran coffee is no longer just a traditional crop, but an emerging economic driver that combines heritage with modern agricultural investment.
