Shura Council Delegation Meets with Several Officials of Tajikistan

A delegation of the Saudi-Tajik Parliamentary Friendship Committee affiliated to the Saudi Shura Council, headed by the Chairman of the Committee, Dr Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Jarbaa, met at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan with Deputy Foreign Minister Farrukh Sharifzadeh.
At the outset of the meeting, the minister praised the relations between the two countries and appreciated the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's pioneering role worldwide.
For his part, Al-Jarbaa thanked him for the warm reception and stressed the depth of relations between the two countries.
During the meeting, ways to strengthen bilateral relations at all levels and a number of other topics were discussed.
Later, the Shura Council delegation met with Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tajikistan Matlouba Khan Staryan and the ministry's senior officials.
During the meeting, Staryan stressed the importance of relations, noting their depth and praising the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's pioneering role at the international level.
Also, topics of common interest between the two countries were discussed, citing the importance of highlighting the cultural aspects and creating opportunities and ways to enhance them based on the ancient historical heritage they share.
At another station of the tour, the Saudi delegation visited the Norak Hydroelectric facility, where they were briefed on the stages of construction, dams, efforts, works, and services provided by the station in the field of electrical energy.
Then, Al-Jarbaa held a meeting with Chairman of the Tourism Development Committee of the Republic of Tajikistan Kamaluddin Muminzadeh.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed a number of issues of common interest related to strengthening areas of cooperation in the tourism field between the two countries.
In a related context, the delegation met with Chairman of the Investment and State Funds Management Committee of the Republic of Tajikistan Sultan Rahimzadeh.
The meeting discussed a number of issues related to cooperation in the economic fields between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Tajikistan and ways to enhance them.
The meeting highlighted the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's economic successes in light of Kingdom Vision 2030, citing the goals achieved in the economic and investment fields. A number of topics of common interest between the two countries were also discussed.
The meetings were attended by the Saudi Ambassador to the Republic of Tajikistan, Walid bin Abdulrahman Al-Rishaidan.
