Saudi Arabia Concludes Participation in Baku International Book Fair 2026

The Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission has concluded Saudi Arabia's participation in Baku International Book Fair 2026, held in the Azerbaijani capital from October 21 to 25.
Saudi Arabia's participation reflected its growing standing in literature, publishing, and translation and its active presence on the international cultural scene, amid a vibrant cultural and intellectual atmosphere.
Commission CEO Dr. Abdullatif Al-Wasel said the participation was part of the commission's ongoing efforts to showcase Saudi literary and intellectual works and highlight the strong cultural ties between Saudi Arabia and Azerbaijan. He added that the Saudi pavilion offered a comprehensive overview of the Kingdom's cultural scene and its rapid development under Saudi Vision 2030.
Al-Wasel noted that the fair provided an opportunity to strengthen professional connections, build knowledge-based partnerships with those working in the book and publishing industries, and expand cultural exchange. He said these efforts aim to support Saudi creatives and publishers and expand the reach of Saudi content among readers and cultural audiences in Azerbaijan and beyond.
The Saudi pavilion brought together several government entities and cultural and knowledge institutions, led by the commission. Participants included King Fahd National Library, King Abdulaziz Public Library, King Abdulaziz Complex for Endowment Libraries, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, King Fahd Glorious Quran Printing Complex, Saudi Arabia's cultural attaché office in Türkiye, and Prince Mohammed bin Salman Global Center for Arabic Calligraphy (Dar Al-Qalam).
The participation of these Saudi entities reflected coordinated national efforts to strengthen the Kingdom's presence at international cultural events.
