Cooperation Agreement Signed to Enhance Women's Role in Agricultural Development

The Sustainable Agricultural Rural Development Program (Saudi Reef) has signed a cooperation agreement with the National Observatory for Women (NOW) to empower women in rural and agricultural development, aligning with Saudi Vision 2030. The signing ceremony took place at the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture headquarters in Riyadh, attended by Vice Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Eng. Mansour Al-Mushaiti, and Acting President of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University Dr. Fawziyah Al-Amr.

 Representing Saudi Reef was Deputy Secretary-General Eng. Adel Almutlaq, while NOW's Director Dr. Sanaa Al-Otaibi represented her organization.

 The agreement focuses on exchanging technical expertise, organizing events, conducting joint research, and implementing training programs to enhance the capabilities of rural women in agriculture and the environment.

 Additionally, it aims to enable rural women to benefit from development initiatives and create an environment that supports their economic and social participation, thereby improving living standards and promoting sustainable development.

 A joint working team will be established to oversee the agreement's implementation and coordinate efforts, maximizing women’s contributions to sustainable agricultural and environmental development. This collaboration underscores a commitment to advancing rural development and empowering women in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
