Shura Council Holds Second Session

The Shura Council today convened today its second ordinary session of the first year of the ninth term, presided over by council Speaker Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh.
At the start of the session, on behalf of the council’s officials and members, Al Al-Sheikh extended sincere gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and to His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, for the support and attention the Shura Council receives. He noted that this support serves as a significant motivator for the council’s success in fulfilling its roles.
The council began reviewing the agenda for its session, making necessary decisions on the listed items.
The council approved several memoranda of understanding (MoUs) and agreements between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and various countries across multiple sectors, as follows:
--Approving an MoU between the ministries of foreign affairs of Saudi Arabia, Rwanda, San Martino, and Estonia for political consultations.
--Approving an MoU between the Saudi Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) and the Chinese Independent Commission Against Corruption for corruption prevention and combat.
--Approving an MoU between the Saudi Ministry of Transport and Logistics Services and the Romanian Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure for cooperation in the logistics sector.
--Approving an agreement between the governments of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Mozambique concerning air transport services.
--Approving the foundational system for the International Center for Artificial Intelligence Research and Ethics (ICAIRE) in matters related to cultural and intellectual affairs.
--Approving an MoU between the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property and the World Intellectual Property Organization to establish a trust fund for developmental projects in the field of intellectual property.
