Saudi IMFC Deputy Chair Heads 2nd Deputies Meeting

The Deputy Chair of the International Monetary and Financial Committee (IMFC), Dr. Ryadh Alkhareif, headed the second Deputies Meeting under the Saudi IMFC Presidency, which was held in Washington, D.C. on October 3.

  ‏During his interventions, Dr. Alkhareif noted the importance of the meeting held on the 80th anniversary of the creation of the Bretton Woods Institutions. He cited the role of the IMFC in enhancing multilateral cooperation and advised on its strategic direction. The Deputies also discussed significant global economic developments and advised on future priorities and recommendations.

 ‏On the sidelines of the Deputies Meetings, Dr. Alkhareif met with the First Deputy Managing Director, Ms. Gita Gopinath, and held several meetings with IMFC Deputies to discuss ways of enhancing cooperation and other important topics for the upcoming IMF-World Bank Annual Meetings to be held in Washington DC October 21-26.
