Egyptian Investment Minister: We Seek to Boost, Attract More Saudi Investments
Egyptian Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Eng. Hassan El Khatib emphasized that collaboration with Saudi Arabia, coupled with the adoption of well-structured policies, will enable a sharper focus on promising sectors and the implementation of strategies to attract investors. These efforts include bolstering Saudi investments in Egypt. According to Eng. El Khatib, such measures are crucial for supporting Egypt's steady progress in establishing a favorable investment climate.
Eng. El Khatib made these remarks while participating in the sessions accompanying the 28th World Investment Conference, held in Riyadh from November 25 to 27.
The minister highlighted that multilateral agreements serve as a cornerstone of Egypt's future strategy, forming an integral component of its long-term development plans. He underscored the importance of focusing on technology and the green transition as fundamental pillars for advancing Egypt's development goals in the years ahead.
Additionally, Eng. El Khatib stressed that Egypt provides an ideal environment for private sector growth and prosperity. He noted that the government aims to increase the private sector's contribution to GDP, targeting a share of 6% to 7%.
