Education Minister: HRH the Crown Prince Prioritizes Human Development in National Transformation
Minister of Education Yousef Al-Benyan emphasized that this year's Human Capability Initiative Conference aligns closely with the goals of the Human Capability Development Program, one of the main pillars of Saudi Vision 2030, highlighting the continued support and oversight of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Program's Committee, who places human development at the forefront of national transformation efforts.
Al-Benyan made these remarks during his opening address at the second edition of the Human Capability Initiative Conference, held alongside the EDGEx 2025 International Education Exhibition, organized by the Ministry of Education from April 13 to 16 at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Riyadh. The event brings together prominent educational leaders, policymakers, professionals, universities, colleges, local and international institutions, as well as major tech companies and investors in the education sector.
The minister stated: “Developing human capabilities, core skills, knowledge, and values empowers individuals to lead productive lives. This is our approach and our goal, as we prepare future generations to go beyond readiness and actively shape the future." He noted that this year's edition of the initiative reaffirms the shared responsibility to keep human capability at the center of a unified vision for sustainable economic growth.
He further noted that the Human Capability Initiative is an integral part of Saudi Vision 2030, which emphasizes nurturing human potential. The minister also highlighted the importance of the conference’s three main pillars: harnessing the ways we learn, honoring the ways we belong, and harmonizing the ways we act.
Concluding his address, the minister called on all participants to face challenges and transform them into lasting opportunities to shape a prosperous and sustainable future for coming generations.
