IMCTC Concludes Reintegration and Rehabilitation Initiative for Individuals with Extremist Ideology, Terrorist Behavior
The Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) today concluded the Reintegration and Rehabilitation Initiative focused on the rehabilitation and social reintegration of individuals with extremist ideology and terrorist behavior. The initiative followed a series of training programs and workshops involving specialized personnel from member states, training 16 participants from Guinea, Oman, Malaysia, and Somalia.
The initiative was implemented to support countries in building national capacities to handle ideologically deviant cases through modern methodologies focused on behavioral, psychological, and social aspects, enabling the safe and sustainable reintegration of individuals into their communities.
This initiative comes as part of IMCTC’s broader intellectual efforts to support member states in countering extremism. It reflects its commitment to launching specialized initiatives that promote moderation, enhance intellectual security, develop rehabilitation programs that reduce the risk of relapse into violent behavior, and support communities in safeguarding their social fabric.
