The Ministry of Islamic Affairs announced that over 35 million people, both within the Kingdom and internationally, benefited from its awareness programs for Hajj, Umrah, and visits conducted during 1446 AH.
According to a ministry report, the total number of beneficiaries of awareness programs and services reached 35,308,740. These included digital awareness campaigns, field activities, guidance programs through electronic screens, toll-free telephone services, and the distribution of printed materials.
These efforts also included sending over 118 million text messages (SMS), reaching 21,464,625 people; conducting more than 182,000 dawah activities—including lectures and sermons—benefiting 5,570,765 individuals; broadcasting 29,099,400 messages via electronic screens in prayer halls across the central area and holy sites, reaching over 5,819,880 people; and distributing 1,469,297 printed materials such as books, brochures, and leaflets.
Regarding digital services, the ministry’s toll-free number received 984,173 calls, all answered by a dedicated team of qualified sheikhs and preachers. These calls offered religious and awareness guidance in ten international languages, assisting pilgrims, Umrah performers, and visitors in properly performing their rituals.
