'Wrth' Continues Free Monthly Art Courses Throughout Summer 2025

The Royal Institute of Traditional Arts (Wrth) is continuing its efforts to empower the community by offering over 20 free short courses throughout July, as part of its ongoing monthly programs in several cities across the Kingdom, including Riyadh, Jeddah, Al-Ahsa, and Abha. The courses are open to all age groups, including youth aged 13 to 17.

Launched in conjunction with the 2025 Year of Handicrafts, the initiative reflects the institute's commitment to preserving traditional crafts and presenting them in innovative, contemporary ways. The courses are held in specialized learning environments with well-equipped workshops, supervised by skilled artisans, practitioners, and experts.

Wrth emphasized that these free monthly courses aim to provide community members with opportunities to explore and practice Saudi traditional arts, as part of its broader strategy to sustain and pass down handicrafts from generation to generation.

Wrth plays a leading role in promoting national identity and enriching traditional Saudi arts both locally and globally. It also works to honor living treasures and pioneers in the field, support national talents and practitioners, and encourage the public to learn, master, and develop these arts.
