Industry Ministry Issues 155 New Industrial Licenses in May 2025
The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources issued 155 new industrial licenses last May, while 122 new factories began production during the same month, according to a report by the
ministry's National Industrial Information Center.
The report, which tracks industrial indicators monthly, revealed that investments associated with the new licenses exceeded SAR3.25 billion. These projects are expected to generate over 2,450 job opportunities across various regions of the Kingdom.
Investments in the factories that began production in May amounted to SAR930 million, with an estimated 2,329 new jobs, reflecting the continued expansion of the Kingdom’s industrial base and the growing pace of factories entering operational stages.
The ministry, through the center, publishes key monthly industrial indicators that reflect the Kingdom’s industrial activity, including the volume of new investments, the number of licenses issued, and factories beginning production. This effort is part of enhancing transparency and tracking the progress of the industrial growth the Kingdom is witnessing.
