
Saudia Transports over 17.5 Million Passengers in First Half of 2025
Saudia Airlines recorded growth in operational performance during the first half of 2025, transporting more than 17.5 million passengers, an increase of 7.2% compared to the same period in 2024, according to its operational performance report.
The airline operated over 100,000 flights, including scheduled and additional services across its network spanning four continents, marking a 4% increase. It also logged more than 293,000 flight hours and achieved an on-time performance rate of 89.6%.
Saudia continued its efforts to connect the world to the Kingdom, recording a 5% growth in the number of international passengers transported, which reached over 9.6 million. The airline operated more than 43,700 international flights, up by 3%. Domestically, it achieved a 10% rise, transporting a total of 7.9 million passengers through more than 56,000 flights.
The airline’s fleet of 148 aircraft played a key role in enhancing operational efficiency. In the coming years, the arrival of 117 new aircraft will further boost flight frequency and increase seat capacity on existing routes, currently over 100 destinations, while enabling access to new international markets. These developments aim to strengthen global connectivity to the Kingdom and support national objectives in sectors such as tourism, entertainment, sports, and Hajj and Umrah.
Saudia topped the world’s airline rankings for on-time performance in March and June 2025, according to Cirium, a platform specializing in tracking airline and airport operations and performance.
