SASA supports Ministry of Commerce in Price Monitoring in Makkah and the Holy Sites

The Saudi Arabian Scouts Association (SASA) continues supporting the Ministry of Commerce teams through public service camps held in Makkah and the holy sites.

Among the key tasks are inspecting commercial licenses to verify the registration number, its date, and whether it is registered in the Ministry of Commerce’s database; checking product prices and the presence of price tags; verifying product expiration dates; confirming discount and promotional permits, if any; and ensuring the availability of the Mada payment network.

In addition, the tasks also include monitoring establishments holding goods that violate Ministry of Commerce regulations, such as product quality issues, counterfeit labeling, and confiscation of items with unknown sources.

They also comprise price controls within the holy sites, follow-up on commercial fraud, and assistance in distributing food supplies and organizing the distribution process.
