The President of Guinea-Bissau awarded Dr. Al-Issa, MWL Secretary General the Highest Medal of Honor

Under the patronage of His Excellency Mr. Umaro Sissoco Embaló, President of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau, His Excellency Dr. Muhammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the World Muslim League (WML) and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, inaugurated the "Tijan al-Noor Quran Competition" at the Lino Correia Stadium in the capital, Bissau.

During the event, President Embaló awarded Dr. Al-Issa the Medal of Honor, the highest distinction bestowed by the Republic on both Guinean and foreign personalities. This honor was presented in recognition of Dr. Al-Issa’s efforts in religious diplomacy, which promote peaceful coexistence and foster international cooperation.

Dr. Al-Issa emphasized the importance of such competitions in promoting a spirit of competition among memorizers of the Holy Quran, enhancing their role in society, and reinforcing the WML’s commitment to supporting Quran memorization and study.
