
Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Elected President of Arab Football Federation
The Union of Arab Football Associations (UAFA) general assembly, during its 28th meeting held today in Riyadh, elected Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal as president of the union’s board of directors for the 2025-2029 term.
In his opening address, Prince Abdulaziz expressed his deep gratitude to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for the Kingdom's continuous support to UAFA, its programs, and activities, out of their keenness to promote Arab sports and boost the capabilities of athletes in general, and football in particular.
Prince Abdulaziz witnessed the signing ceremonies of hosting agreements for UAFA competitions with the football associations of Egypt, Iraq, the UAE, Libya, Lebanon, and Mauritania, as well as with the Royal Moroccan Football Federation.
The agreements were signed by UAFA secretary-general Dr. Rajallah Al-Sulami and the respective association secretaries. UAFA also signed two agreements with companies to provide referee kits and launch the official ball of its competitions, in addition to marketing sponsorship rights.
Prince Abdulaziz, along with his deputies, board members, and general assembly representatives, also toured the historical exhibition organized by UAFA general secretariat to mark the 50th anniversary of its founding.
