Saudi, Tajikistani Human Rights Commissions Sign MoU to Enhance Cooperation, Expertise Exchange
The Human Rights Commission (HRC) and the Republic of Tajikistan Commission of Human Rights signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) today in Riyadh.
The MoU was signed by Saudi Human Rights Commission (HRC) President Dr. Hala bint Mazyad Al-Tuwaijri and Tajikistan Commissioner for Human Rights Umed Bobozoda .
The agreement aims to encourage cooperation between the two parties in building the capacities of their personnel in various human rights-related fields. It includes provisions for sharing expertise, joint programs, and projects in research and publications.
In the area of data exchange, the MoU emphasizes the importance of sharing statistics, reports, media publications, and scientific research to enhance and protect human rights. It also focuses on promoting education about the rights of individuals with disabilities, children, women, and the elderly, among other human-rights issues.
The agreement is part of the HRC’s efforts to collaborate with national, regional, and international organizations and institutions in the field of human rights to achieve its objectives and strengthen its relationships with international bodies, including governmental and non-governmental institutions, to protect and promote human rights.
