
Umm Al-Qura University Receives Honorary Medal from French Union of Inventors
Umm Al-Qura University, represented by its Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, has received the Honorary Medal from the French Union of Inventors at the 50th Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions, held from April 9 to 13, 2025.
The medal was awarded in recognition of the university’s support for health innovations aimed at improving global quality of life through the presentation of three groundbreaking projects in the field of biotechnology. These included VentoGo, an innovative portable device for diagnosing infectious respiratory diseases by analyzing vital signs and laboratory data; BioNourish, a smart device and system designed to treat nutrient deficiencies; and Smart HemaTissue 3D, a dynamic 3D bone marrow model developed for physiological simulation and cell interaction studies.
These projects received awards of appreciation, highlighting the quality and excellence of the university’s contributions. The recognition reflects Umm Al-Qura University’s ongoing commitment to innovation and leadership in alignment with the goals of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.
