The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) and U.S. Companies Discuss Investment Opportunities

The CEO of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), H.E. Prof. Dr. Hisham S. Aljadhey, chaired a roundtable meeting at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Washington, D.C. The meeting, which included Mr.Steve Lutes, the Chamber's Vice President for the Middle East, representatives from major U.S. companies, and the Saudi Commercial Attaché, focused on exploring opportunities for cooperation and investment within the SFDA’s areas of expertise.

During the discussion, the SFDA reviewed its pivotal role in developing legislation and strengthening the regulatory framework. These efforts contribute to the growth and localization of Saudi Arabia’s food and drug markets, while also helping to create an attractive investment environment for global industry leaders.

Dr. Aljadhey highlighted Saudi Arabia’s strong appeal as an investment destination, highlighting the Kingdom’s robust economy, strategic geographic location, and focus on research, development, and innovation. Supported by an advanced digital infrastructure, these initiatives form part of a comprehensive vision to position the Kingdom as one of the world’s fastest-growing and most sustainable economies.

The meeting reflected the depth of bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and the United States and reaffirmed the shared commitment to strengthening ties and expanding cooperation for the benefit of both nations.
