Music Commission Concludes 'Spotlight – Under the Light' Event in Jeddah Showcasing Emerging Saudi Talents
The Music Commission concluded the “Spotlight – Under the Light” event at Hayy Jameel in Jeddah as part of an initiative aimed at showcasing Saudi musical talent and presenting it to local and international audiences through a platform that highlights creativity and emerging artists.
According to a press release issued by the Music Commission today, this edition marks the third consecutive year of the “Spotlight” initiative, building on the success of previous editions that delivered distinctive musical experiences across major international cities including London, Amsterdam, Los Angeles, and Riyadh, before arriving in Jeddah. The initiative continues to expand its reach, reinforcing its role in presenting Saudi music within a diverse cultural landscape.
The initiative aims to highlight emerging Saudi artists and provide opportunities for them to present their musical works to wider audiences while strengthening the presence of Saudi music across cultural and artistic platforms.
Through this initiative, the commission seeks to discover and support local musical talent, provide professional platforms for artists to showcase their work locally and internationally, contributing to the continued development of the Kingdom’s music sector, supporting Saudi artists, highlighting the diversity of the local music landscape, and encouraging collaboration and cultural exchange with music communities around the world.
The release added that the event featured a series of live musical performances by Saudi artists and musicians, highlighting the diversity of the Kingdom’s music scene and reflecting the richness of artistic experiences emerging across the sector.
The initiative reflects the Music Commission’s ongoing efforts to develop the music sector in the Kingdom, support creative talent, and enhance the presence of Saudi music regionally and internationally, in line with the cultural objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 and its ambition of advancing the creative economy.
