Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon Attends Groundbreaking Ceremony for Expansion of Beirut Port Container Terminal

Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon Fahad bin Abdulrahman Al-Dosari, in the presence of Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, attended today the groundbreaking ceremony for the expansion of the container terminal at Beirut Port. The ceremony was held at Berth 16 of Beirut Port (Container Terminal), with political and economic figures in attendance.

 The new expansion is expected to increase the port’s annual capacity from approximately 1.3 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) currently to 3 million TEUs by 2028.
