ZATCA Urges Establishments Subject to Excise Tax to File Returns for May, June

The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) has urged establishments subject to the excise tax to file their tax returns for May and June 2025 by July 15, 2025.

 The authority called on establishments to promptly submit the returns through its website, zatca.gov.sa, to avoid a fine of 5% for the unpaid tax for each 30 days after the due date.

 Business taxpayers seeking more information about the excise tax may contact the unified call center, which is open 24/7, at 19993 or reach out via X account (@Zatca_Care), email (info@zatca.gov.sa), or instant messaging on the ZATCA website (zatca.gov.sa).

 The excise tax is imposed at different rates on goods deemed harmful to public health or the environment, such as soft drinks, energy drinks, sweetened beverages, and tobacco.
