Kingdom Makes History: Unprecedented Achievements and Impressive Educational Preparations

In a move reflecting transparency and engagement with society, the 24th Government Press Conference was held, highlighting the most prominent national achievements under Saudi Vision 2030, as well as showcasing the education sector’s readiness for the new academic year 1447H.  

His Excellency the Minister of Media, Salman bin Youssef Al-Dosari, emphasized that Saudi Vision 2030 is driving transformative change across all sectors, achieving radical shifts in various fields. He noted that the non-profit sector has become one of the most important drivers of development, witnessing a 252% growth, with the number of non-profit organizations exceeding 6,400.  

In entrepreneurship, the Kingdom made a qualitative leap, ranking 23rd globally in supporting startups, with business registrations reaching 1.7 million. Additionally, the Saudi Regional Headquarters Program successfully attracted 616 global companies, surpassing its target ahead of schedule.  

The conference highlighted major achievements in the industrial sector, where the number of factories increased from 7,200 to 12,480, and non-oil exports reached 607 billion riyals. In mining, the Kingdom jumped from 104th to 23rd in investment attractiveness, with the estimated value of mineral wealth doubling to 9.4 trillion riyals.  

The conference also revealed healthcare achievements, with Jeddah becoming the first city in the Middle East to be recognized by the World Health Organization as a "Healthy Million-City." Moreover, seven Saudi hospitals were ranked among the top 250 globally.  

For his part, His Excellency the Minister of Education, Professor Yousef Al-Benyan, outlined the ministry’s efforts to ensure readiness for the new academic year, noting the allocation of 920 million riyals to establish 75 new educational projects and maintain over 15,000 school buildings. He stressed that the ministry is working to empower schools as stimulating learning environments, with a focus on reinforcing national values and identity.  

Minister Al-Benyan announced the introduction of new curricula in artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, in partnership with SDAIA and the Saudi Cybersecurity Authority. He also revealed the provision of over 520,000 training opportunities for teachers and the scholarship of 100 educators to study Chinese, a step that enhances cultural exchange.  

The minister highlighted strengthened partnerships with the private sector, including the establishment of 120 schools through the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model and the allocation of over 500 investment opportunities worth 50 billion riyals. The ministry also launched the "Madares" platform to support investors and parents.  

The conference concluded by affirming that the Kingdom is steadily progressing toward achieving Vision 2030’s goals, with a focus on human development and providing an exceptional educational environment. Both ministers expressed gratitude to our leadership for its unwavering support, emphasizing that every achievement marks a starting point for further excellence and leadership.
