Grand Mosque Enhances Services for Women

The Presidency for Religious Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques is utilizing human resources and technology to improve services for women Umrah performers and visitors to the Grand Mosque.

A team of female staff members provides guidance, counselling, and religious advice to visitors. They also address visitor concerns, distribute copies of the Quran, and offer directions within the mosque. The presidency also trains staff to receive female delegations in designated prayer areas.

The Grand Mosque also accommodates visitors with disabilities. Special prayer areas are equipped with Zamzam water containers, white canes, Braille copies of the Quran, and access to sign language interpretation of the Friday sermon through the Manarat Al-Haramain platform at https://manaratalharamain.gov.sa.

Older women are received in dedicated prayer areas with large-print copies of the Quran, Quran holders on wheelchairs, and reading pens.

These efforts highlight the presidency's commitment to providing a welcoming and enriching experience for all visitors to the Grand Mosque.
