Over 52 Million Umrah Performers, Visitors to the Two Holy Mosques in Safar 1447 AH

The General Authority for the Care of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque announced that the number of Umrah performers and visitors to the Two Holy Mosques during the month of Safar 1447 AH reached 52,823,962.

 At the Grand Mosque, the number of visitors totaled 21,421,118, including 51,104 who prayed at Hijr Ismail (Al-Hateem). The number of Umrah performers reached 7,537,002.

 The presidency also reported that the Prophet’s Mosque received 20,621,745 visitors, including 1,188,386 who prayed in Al-Rawdah Al-Sharifa. Meanwhile, 2,004,608 visitors offered greetings to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and his two Companions.

 The presidency noted that it employs advanced technology based on sensor readers at the main entrances of both mosques to monitor the number of visitors and pilgrims. This system enhances operational efficiency by tracking crowd flows and supporting authorities in managing them, as part of its partnership with relevant entities.
