Qassim Governor Tours Grape Festival
Governor of Qassim Region Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz visited the 12th edition of Grape Festival yesterday, one of the region's most prominent seasonal agricultural events.
He reviewed the diverse offerings of participating grape farms, showcased across 60 exhibitions featuring crops from nearly 100 farms. The festival displayed more than 25 grape varieties, with total production exceeding 50,000 tons, highlighting both the variety and quality of local cultivation. The exhibits also included a range of grape-derived processed products, reflecting the increasing economic value of this vital agricultural commodity.
Prince Faisal also toured various festival pavilions, exploring the accompanying activities and presentations that celebrate the role of farmers and local entrepreneurs. He emphasized the need to capitalize on the economic potential of grapes by expanding processing industries, improving packaging, and adopting smart marketing strategies. These efforts, he noted, are essential for increasing farmers' returns and reinforcing Qassim’s position as a leading center for agricultural excellence.
