Saudi Arabia's Labor Courts Reduce Case Resolution Time to 20 Days

Labor courts across Saudi Arabia have successfully resolved thousands of labor disputes in 2024, contributing to protecting the rights of both workers and employers while fostering a stable and attractive business environment.
According to the Ministry of Justice, the average duration for resolving a labor case was significantly reduced to 20 days, from initial filing to case closure, with cases typically concluding after just two hearings.
The ministry highlighted the role of institutional enhancements, including central departments like the Case Preparation Center and the Case Validation Center, in boosting the efficiency of the courts. These improvements have resulted in higher productivity in the courts and faster case resolutions.
The labor courts issued over 130,000 rulings in 2024, marking a 21% increase from the previous year, and conducted approximately 290,000 hearings throughout the year, according to the ministry.
