Serbian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Dragan Bisenić has visited the 2024 King Abdulaziz Falconry Festival, organized by the Saudi Falcons Club, at the club's headquarters in Malham, north of Riyadh.
Ambassador Bisenić and his accompanying delegation observed the qualifying rounds for the King Abdulaziz Cup and were introduced to the advanced technologies employed by the club to measure falcons’ speed over a 400-meter distance.
The ambassador also toured the festival's accompanying exhibitions, where he received briefings on the protocols followed by falconers in feeding the falcons, methods of falconry hunting, and the falconry seasons. Additionally, he was briefed on the "Hadad" program, which aims to return falcons to their natural habitats.
Ambassador Bisenić commended the club’s efforts to preserve the heritage of falconry, pass it on to future generations, and strengthen Saudi identity, of which falconry is an integral part.
