HRH the Crown Prince and Egyptian President Hold Official Talks, Witness Signing of the Minutes on the Formation of the Saudi-Egyptian Coordination Council

His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia arrived in Cairo today for an official visit.
Upon his arrival at Cairo International Airport, HRH the Crown Prince was received by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. The two leaders then traveled by official motorcade to Al-Ittihadiya Palace for a formal reception ceremony.
During the reception, HRH the Crown Prince greeted Egyptian Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly and other senior government officials. President El-Sisi also welcomed the Saudi delegation.
HRH the Crown Prince and President El-Sisi held a meeting to discuss a range of strategic issues. The Egyptian president expressed his deep appreciation for Saudi Arabia’s continued support and cooperation. HRH the Crown Prince conveyed the greetings and best wishes of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, to President El-Sisi.
During the session, they reviewed the strategic bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and explored ways to strengthen them in various fields. They also discussed topics related to the Arab and Islamic arenas, as well as developments in the Middle East, particularly efforts to address the region's security and stability.
The expanded discussion session was attended by Minister of Energy Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz; Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah; Minister of State, Cabinet Member and National Security Adviser Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban; Minister of State for Shura Council Affairs Dr. Essam bin Saad bin Saeed; Minister of Commerce Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Kassabi; Minister of Finance Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Jadaan; Minister of Investment Eng. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih; Adviser at the Royal Court Mohammed bin Mazyad Al-Tuwaijri; Secretary to HRH the Crown Prince Dr. Bandar bin Obaid Al-Rasheed; and Saudi Ambassador to Egypt Saleh bin Eid Al-Husseini.
On the Egyptian side, the session was attended by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly; Head of the General Intelligence Service Major General Abbas Kamel; Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Badr Abdelatty; Chief of the Presidential Office Major General Ahmed Ali; Minister of Electricity Dr. Mahmoud Esmat; Minister of Finance Ahmed Kouchouk; Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Eng. Hassan El-Khatib; Minister of Petroleum Eng. Karim Badawi; Egyptian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ahmed Farouk; and Spokesperson Minister Plenipotentiary Ahmed Fahmy.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi witnessed the signing of the minutes establishing a supreme coordination council between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Egypt, which they co-chair.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah of Saudi Arabia and Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs Badr Abdelatty signed the agreement.
HRH the Crown Prince and President El-Sisi witnessed the signing of an agreement aimed at fostering and safeguarding mutual investments between the two nations. The agreement was signed by Minister of Investment Eng. Khalid Al-Falih of Saudi Arabia and Egyptian Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Hassan El-Khatib.
President El-Sisi hosted an official lunch in honor of HRH the Crown Prince.
HRH the Crown Prince later departed Cairo, with President El-Sisi bidding him farewell at Cairo International Airport.
