SAR Announces Operational Results for Q3 2025
Saudi Arabia Railways (SAR) announced its operational results for the third quarter of 2025, showcasing significant growth in both performance and operational efficiency. During this period, the volume of minerals and goods transported across its network exceeded 7.5 million tons, while passenger trains carried over 2.8 million travelers. These figures underscore SAR's pivotal role in bolstering the Kingdom's transportation and logistics ecosystem.
Additionally, SAR trains have removed more than 359,000 truck journeys on the Kingdom's roads. This reduction has resulted in a decrease of over 32 million liters in fuel consumption and a decline in carbon emissions of more than 84,000 tons annually.
As part of its commitment to developing national talent, SAR provided over 30,000 training hours to its employees in various technical and operational fields. This initiative supports continuous professional development and empowerment programs.
CEO of Saudi Arabia Railways Dr. Bashar Al-Malik stated that these results are a continuation of the company's efforts to implement its 2035 strategy, which aims to create an integrated and sustainable rail network. This strategy also seeks to enhance SAR's contribution to the national economy and support the goals of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy.
