Madinah Expands Safe, Accessible Infrastructure to Enhance Quality of Life
Madinah Region Development Authority continues implementing high-quality projects to enhance quality of life by creating safe, inclusive urban environments. These projects focus on meeting the needs of pedestrians, cyclists, the elderly, and individuals with visual impairments, in line with the broader goals of urban beautification and human-centered design.
As part of this effort, the authority is developing dedicated pedestrian and cycling paths, running tracks, and specialized walkways for the visually impaired. So far, approximately 430,098 square meters of pavements have been upgraded, and 29,428 square meters have been allocated for cycling paths, supporting safe, sustainable mobility throughout the city.
These initiatives reflect the authority’s vision of a livable, inclusive city that improves the overall urban experience for all residents.
