MSC Names New Vessel After Saudi Arabia, Launches Logistics Center at King Abdulaziz Port

The Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) and MEDLOG, the logistics arm of Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC), inaugurated an integrated MSC logistics center at King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam.

 The inauguration, attended by Minister of Transport and Logistic Services Saleh Al-Jasser, represents an investment exceeding SAR150 million and spans an area of 100,000 square meters.

 The ceremony also saw MSC naming one of its vessels after Saudi Arabia, marking a special milestone that coincides with the 30th anniversary of the company’s operations in the Kingdom.

 Over the past three decades, MSC has achieved numerous milestones and forged strategic partnerships in the maritime transport and logistics sector, playing a key role in developing the national transport and logistics system.

 The minister emphasized that the logistics center provides advanced and smart logistics services, enhances the port’s capacity, and boosts its competitiveness both regionally and globally.

 King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam features advanced infrastructure, including 43 berths and an annual capacity of 105 million tons, and attracts major international companies.
