Makkah Region Deputy Governor Inspects Pilgrims Reception, Guidance Center in Al-Nawariyah, Visits Grand Mosque
Deputy Governor of Makkah Region and Deputy Chairman of the Permanent Committee for Hajj and Umrah Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz inspected the Pilgrims Reception and Guidance Center in Al-Nawariyah to review the progress of operational work and services provided to pilgrims. He was accompanied by Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dr. Abdulfattah Mashat, Mayor of Makkah Musad Aldaood, and several officials from government and security sectors in the region.
During the inspection tour, Prince Saud reviewed workflow in the center’s pre-readiness room, as well as the screens and operational systems used to monitor activities. The room’s tasks include confirming pilgrims’ accommodations with service providers before arrival, monitoring statistics of buses arriving at the center, and overseeing the bus tracking system to ensure smooth movement and speedy completion of procedures.
The deputy governor also visited the Grand Mosque to review the readiness of the Mataf project, along with the operational system and services provided to visitors during the 1447 AH Hajj season, within ongoing efforts to enhance operational efficiency and improve pilgrims' experience.
Accompanied by several officials, he listened to a briefing on the operational and service plans implemented by relevant entities at the Grand Mosque, including crowd management mechanisms, enhancement of services, and preparation of facilities to ensure smooth movement and pilgrims’ comfort.
Prince Saud also inspected the Third Saudi Expansion works and reviewed the progress of phased handover operations carried out by the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque.
