Arab Parliament’s Palestine Committee Calls on Arab League to Expedite Implementing Bahrain Summit Resolutions on Palestinian Issue

The Palestine Committee of the Arab Parliament has urged the Arab League to expedite coordination with member states to implement the decision made at the 33rd Arab Summit in Manama. This decision includes adding lists of extremist Israeli organizations and groups to the national Arab terrorism lists and announcing a list of Israeli figures that promote genocide and incite against the Palestinian people. This is a preparatory step for taking legal action against these Israeli figures and holding them accountable in both national and international courts. Additionally, the committee called for expediting the Arab group's mandate in New York to study steps to freeze Israel's participation in the United Nations General Assembly.
This call to action was included in the final report issued today by the fifth meeting of the Palestine Committee, chaired by Speaker of the Arab Parliament and Committee Chairman Adel bin Abdulrahman Al-Asoumi, to discuss the latest developments in the occupied Palestinian territories. The meeting was attended by Shura Council member and member of the Foreign Affairs, Political, and National Security Committee of the Arab Parliament, Assaf Abu Thunain.
The Palestine Committee called on the international community and the Security Council to continue to pressure the Israeli occupation to stop the aggression, ethnic cleansing, and genocide in Gaza, completely withdraw from the strip, and provide protection for unarmed civilians in accordance with international legitimacy and relevant Security Council resolutions, international law, and international humanitarian law. The committee also called for the swift, safe, and unhindered provision of humanitarian aid directly to the needy civilian population within Gaza, in accordance with relevant Security Council resolutions, including Resolution 2720.
The committee reiterated its rejection of any attempts to forcibly displace Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, combat all forms of displacement and internal forced displacement, which constitutes a clear violation of international law, and the need to enable residents of Gaza to return to their homes they left due to the aggression. It also condemned the horrific massacres committed daily by the occupying entity in the Gaza Strip.
The committee adopted a draft resolution on the situation in Palestine and another on the conditions of Palestinian women in the occupied territories, in preparation for presenting them at the general session of the Arab Parliament scheduled to be held at the Arab League headquarters next Saturday.
