Saudi camels secured three cups in the 2025 Saudi Olympic Cup championship, winning 34 titles in the Laqaya category competitions held yesterday at the Rumah Camel Racing track. The champions of the second day were crowned as part of the championship's fifth edition.
Today, the Jatha category competitions will commence, featuring 24 races over a distance of six kilometers each.
The Saudi Camel Sports has allocated more than SAR10 million in prizes for the owners of winning camels across various races.
The Imam Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Royal Reserve Development Authority is participating as a strategic partner with the Saudi Camel Sports in side events accompanying the championship. This collaboration aims to enhance cultural and heritage presence within the reserve while raising environmental awareness and preserving natural resources.
Hosting the championship at the reserve symbolizes the integration of cultural and environmental heritage, reflecting the social and national values of this ancient sport, which connects the Kingdom's identity with its historical roots and modern development.
